New York Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal has introduced two bills to redirect the $230M in subsidies from the cruel Horseracing industry to education - where the money belongs. Successfully redirecting the subsidies would shut down 10 of the 11 tracks in NYS virtually overnight!
New York residents please take this quick and easy action and contact your representative and ask them to cosponsor Assembly Bills 8468 and 7745. It takes two minutes to be a voice for the horses.

Please cosponsor Assembly Bills 8468 and 7745 to end the horse racing subsidies and tax benefits to wealthy horse owners.
New York’s 11 Thoroughbred and harness racing tracks have received $230 million every year—without any real return to the state.
Horse racing is a private industry and should not be receiving corporate welfare. Wealthy owners, breeders, and celebrity trainers should fund their own private ventures with their own money.
And Horseracing is Cruel and Deadly. 106 horses died at NYS tracks last year and 11 have died at NYS tracks since January 1, 2022.
Please stop the subsidies to a cruel industry that obviously cannot support itself.
