Terrel Barros is home! Thanks to the support and work of all of his loved ones, friends, and legal team, Terrel has finally been released and justice has prevailed! 

On August 15, Terrel Barros’ unjust conviction was overturned, after having served 11 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. While the fight for his full exoneration continues, Terrel’s release on bail is still cause for immense celebration and joy. 

Although nothing will excuse the grievous miscarriage of justice carried out by the Rhode Island justice system — who we continue to call upon to fully and completely exonerate Terrel Barros as soon as possible — we are grateful for this important step towards ensuring justice is finally carried out.
