The Ohio Constitution proclaims: All men [people] are, by nature, free and independent, and have certain inalienable rights, among which are those of enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing, and protecting property, and seeking and obtaining happiness and safety.

The governor has ordered under threat of force that barbers and beauticians may not work while other service workers such as cooks may.

This violates these workers inalienable rights and the Ohio Constitution.

Please end the threat of force (jail time, fines, and license revocation) against these workers immediately.

Most certainly some accommodation can be made to implement the necessary safety and hygiene measures while still allowing these hard working citizens to earn the money they need to survive.

Many of these service workers have been unable to obtain ANY relief through unemployment or other means.  We owe it to them to be able to take care of their loved ones.
