The Senate Bill is moving along nicely! The bill is now in the Community Affairs Committee which is chaired by Senator Simpson. Senator Simpson voted in favor of the plastic bag bill last week. We are hopeful the bill will be heard next week BUT we need phone calls and support. Please call Senator Simpson's office at (850) 487-5018 and encourage the Senator to please put Senate Bill 306 (the plastic bag bill) on the agenda next week for Community Affairs. There should be some new developments in the house coming very soon.
