Mahalo to the 545 people who signed on the the Mauna Kea Moku Nui 'Aelike/Consensus Building letter to the US Army Pohakuloa Training Area regarding their Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).  They were initiating an EIS in order to extend its lease of 22,000 acres of Kanaka Maoli stolen lands located in Pohakuloa between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.  We will keep you updated on the Pohakuloa EIS process.

Currently, a group of Protectors are holding space in Kaua'ula on the island of Maui to protect iwi kupuna or Hawaiian burials from unpermitted trenching.  Five women were already arrested on October 13, 2020 for blocking digging and, as expected, on October 23, 2020 a human skull was disturbed and exposed by the grading activities being done there in the name of development.  Grading activities have stopped in the meantime but the occupation will be a long ongoing process.  Please help support the Kia'i of Kaua'ula by purchasing a shirt by clicking on the link below.  These shirts will only be available to purchase for two more days.
