Currently the US Army is looking to extend its lease of 22,000 acres of Kanaka Maoli stolen lands located in Pohakuloa between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa and is asking for comments on its Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). Located near the Mauna Kea Access road at high elevation, Pohakuloa is home to rare organisms and ecosystems and cultural sites.
