We, the undersigned residents, homeowners, visitors, sailors, boaters, beachgoers, commercial and recreational fishermen and shell fishermen, and our families, who use and enjoy Lewis Bay, are unequivocally opposed to burying transmission cables in Lewis Bay for the purpose of generating electricity as proposed by Vineyard Wind, LLC.

We respectfully request officials of the Town of Yarmouth and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to prevent any cables being trenched in and through the seabed of Lewis Bay due to the known and unknown harm high voltage transmission cables may cause to the fragile and sensitive environment of Lewis Bay. Lewis Bay is a natural resource which should be protected and preserved for the benefit and enjoyment of our families and tourists, for present and future generations. Lewis Bay is not the appropriate site for the burial of cables carrying 800 megawatts of electrical energy.

Appropriate alternative on-shoring locations exist for the purpose of Vineyard Wind, LLC, to engage with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the development of renewable energy.
WE DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS WISE TO DESTROY THE
ENVIRONMENT OF LEWIS BAY IN THE NAME OF SAVING THE ENVIRONMENT.
