Cases of COVID-19 and associated deaths in Georgia are climbing quickly. At last glance, GA has more deaths from COVID-19 than any state other than WA, CA, and NY.

A shelter in place seems necessary and inevitable. There is no reason to wait. The sooner a shelter in place is ordered, the safer and healthier we will be as individuals, families, communities, and as a society. Healthcare workers and those on the front lines will have a better chance of winning this war. Widespread shortages of PPE and increasing fatalities indicate that something has to be done. So why delay the inevitable?
