The CDC has set forth guidelines to reopen the economy. The guidelines state there should be a 14 day decrease in new COVID-19 cases and that hospitals should have capacity to handle new cases. In Tennessee, we have seen an INCREASE in new cases and we STILL don't have adequate testing! Governor Bill Lee, governor of Tennessee is choosing to ignore these guidelines. We are doing so well in flattening the curve and doctors, such as Dr.Fauci are saying we will just have a rebound in new cases if we open now. The lives of people are at risk and the US dollar should not come before those lives. We are not starving. WIC has been put in place for those that need food as well as EBT. The economy will just get worse if we have a rebound. 100% loss of sales for a month is better than having 20%-40% loss of sales multiple times. Reopening Tennessee is irresponsible. Doctors have already pleaded once to Bill Lee, and they will soon have to again. We already waited too late to close the first time, and now he is leapfrogging over medical advice and reopening too soon. Please reconsider opening business too soon and follow medical expert's advice!
