Today April 13th 2020 Gov. Bill Lee waited to the last minute to prolong a Stay at Home Order that has proven ineffective and costly to Tennesseans. Tens of thousands of Tennessee workers are out of a job with that number climbing exponentially daily. In the last week we have seen major companies file for bankruptcy like Logan's and Old Chicago to never return costing 18,000 jobs in the process. Nissan, VW, and more have shutdown production with their supporting buisness following costing thousands more Tennesseans their jobs. 

Buisness have been arbitrarily labeled essential such as Pawn Shops, Liquor Stores, Tattoo Shops, Massage Parlors, etc while others that have a legitimate reason for being open to the public such as a Fitness Center which promotes Physical Health and helps lower Stress for your Mental Health are forced to close. Due to this, Small Businesses, the back bone of our country, are failing left and right and when Gov Lee decides it's time to Re-Open the state for buisness there will be no jobs for anyone to get. 

Under current projections the cases and estimated loss of life is dropping week to week. Initial estimates said over 3,000 Tennesseans would die from COVID-19, however last week that was drastically lowered to around 500.  Hospitals are sending nurses home during the day due to low patient count and emergency tents meant for the case load of COVID-19 patients are being taken down due to non-use. However current projections for economy state that if we keep our businesses closed we will be at 20% Unemployment by June, levels not seen since the Great Depression in the 1930's. This would mean homelessness, bankruptcy for many, starvation, and more for our state.
