Governor Ayotte,

The federal government is seriously considering severe cuts to Medicaid funding which may impact:

• Medicaid - healthcare for low-income children and adults;
• Medicaid Expansion – healthcare working adults and caregivers; 
• Medicaid Home & Community-Based Services waivers – vital services providing people with disabilities and seniors supports to live safely in their communities.  

If enacted, these cuts would destabilize NH’s healthcare infrastructure, our disability and aging service systems, and send shockwaves through our entire economy. Medicaid cuts will have devastating impacts on children, individuals with disabilities, their families, low-income senior citizens, people with behavioral health disorders, people with substance use disorder, small businesses, and New Hampshire’s economy. 

Governor, as NH’s chief executive, it’s your job to lead - not leave us wondering. What’s your plan to address the Medicaid shortfall? What specific actions will you take to prevent the collapse of community-based care and healthcare in New Hampshire?
