For the entire pandemic, KY prison families have been grouped together with "long term care facility" guidelines when we ask about getting our visits back. Suddenly today- it is announced that those facilities are getting their visits back- but NO mention of prisons. It is unfair. If every other restricted group gets their visits back- it becomes a blatant violation of human rights to isolate inmates from their families. Inmates ARE human beings and they love and are loved. Do the right thing and reopen visitation. I personally haven't seen my husband since March 8th. You have no idea what this has done to the moral of inmates and their families. How would it feel to be physically separated from your family- for MONTHS. Yes, some of them committed crimes but THEY ARE HUMANS. If you don't want to do it for them- do it for us- the families who have done nothing at all but love.
