The last remaining vestige of once notable Robert E. Lee Park is to be extinguished. In fact, the City of Dallas wants to eradicate any sign that the park ever held a monument to Robert E. Lee inaugurated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Eliminating the plinth or pedestal is the city's way of ensuring that the statue can never come back home.

Next on the agenda is eliminating the entire downtown Dallas Confederate War Memorial which will occur as rapidly and stealthily as possible. The radical iconoclasts are rushing to have everything removed before a Monuments Protection Act can take effect.
