The Texas State leadership has so far failed to respond to our request for a Monuments Protection Act.

We are now within the 60 Day period permitted to have bills introduced in the Texas Senate and House of Representatives. Please contact both your State Senator and State Representative with your request to have a Monuments Protection bill introduced using the words or similar wording contained in our petition.

It is important that we determine their position on this topic, whether for or against. If they do not support our request they will be held accountable come election time.

In the meantime, we plan to make a Freedom of Information request to the Texas Preservation Board for full and complete disclosure of all records pertinent to the recent removal of the Confederate Veterans plaque.
