Recent media reports have surfaced claiming that the Southern Poverty Law Center, a chief instigator in removing all the Confederate veterans monuments from public property in the United States, has funds hidden in offshore tax haven accounts. What is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization doing with offshore accounts in the first place? What is the SPLC trying to conceal? Could this involve funding from unreported organizations or even attempts by a foreign government to destabilize the United States by sowing discord and racial tension? The Department of Justice, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Office of National Intelligence, should investigate for any criminal activities and/or foreign intelligence operations associated with the SPLC's offshore tax haven accounts.
