Signing a deal between governments of Canada and Iran for direct flights between the two countries could boost personal ties, tourism and trade sectors. The biggest cities of both countries are Toronto and Tehran. There are currently thousands of Canadian-Iranians who live in Toronto whereas they and their relatives are experiencing a long trip (approximately 24 hours) to travel between the countries. This can reduce the the travel time significantly to 12 hours. This also creates a great opportunity for Air Canada. Air Canada and many other operators have the potential to run such a direct service between Toronto and Tehran.
