To all that may receive an invitation to sign this petition. In an odd way it may seem I do not totally care about the complexities of patients sectioned in Psychiatric Units.

However after spending time in hospital in Essex, Stevenage and Cornwall each ward seems to fail miserably with obeying to the rigid Public Fire Safety Regs.

I am aware of situations where individuals have been forgotten in such places. Where they were left to fend for themselves without much water or food and the saddening criminal behaviour of arson has occurred. Just leaving 2 to 3 people tending to the arson attacks.

Therefore I care with mid to long term endeavour! I would hate to see that anyone loses their life due being held in a Psychiatric Ward, no matter how long it is!

Psychiatric Wards are potentially dangerous and are sometimes fatal, I know of certain cases in the UK and the USA regarding fatalities. 

Therefore I would wish to see all Mental Health Hospitals, Psychiatric and Dementia wards closed down. However I think I would prefer to see the facilities in Cornwall and Essex get demolished first compared to any hospital in any other county across the UK if our gracious country had a priority choice!
