Petition to stop pets being sold online using Gumtree, Facebook and Pets4Home etc.

Many are by back street breeders, pup farmers and dog theft gangs.  This would drastically cut down this crime and animals being sourced for money, breeding or bait. 

The price of older dogs as well as puppies has rocketed to a ridiculous amount in recent years making dog theft more lucrative to criminals with very little criminal punishment. 

There’s no way these online companies can regulate the dogs being sold like second hand goods.  Its the perfect place for criminal gangs to work from.  The only way to help put a stop to it altogether is to make it illegal!!

Online is mainly how puppy farming, back yard breeders and thieves sell these pets and demand for dogs and puppies is the highest it’s ever been. 

There needs to be more regulations regarding animal welfare on these online selling sites.
