Most people on middle to low incomes, both on benefits and in work, need immediate help with the cost of living crisis mainly fuelled by massive energy price rises.  

Government can immediately freeze the energy price cap to prevent it going up even further.

Government can remove the VAT on energy bills, reducing the price customers have to pay.

Government can legislate to compel the energy companies to remove the very high standing charges on domestic gas and electricity. 

Government can reinstate the grants for home insulation which were abruptly withdrawn early.  This would give thousands of people the chance to improve the energy efficiency of their homes.

We want the Government to act on behalf of ordinary people by making and implementing legislation to ensure we can pay reasonable energy bills and insulate our homes.

We want Government to debate the immediate implementation of these measures.
