it is unfair that drivers have to stop and report when they hit or run over a dog or badger, but not cats. our kitten was hit and has now got to suffer the consequences of not being able to see out of her left eye again. this could’ve been prevented if the driver that hit her, reported it straight away, not left her for someone else to find. our poor kittens life has changed so much & it’s all down to not reporting when hitting a cat. what i think needs to happen is whenever hitting or running over any animal; more importantly cats, to report it straight away! we are so lucky our cat wasn’t dead by the time she was found, but we want to make it better for her & avoid this happening to any other cats/kittens as it’s not fair on the owners too.
