Councillor Tom Ashton has been working on writing up an Ideas Fund application to the Restoring Your Railway Fund for the November 2020 Round.

It is an application to submit a bid in order to obtain funding to Reopen the East Lincolnshire Railway (Feasibility study, and business case) between Louth and Firsby (Junction). It is supported by Cllr Tom Ashton himself, along with Matt Warman MP, the MP for Boston and Skegness, and Victoria Atkins, the MP for Louth and Horncastle.
