This petition is to spread awareness about police training. Police training hours is severely low and it is one of the reasons why police officers are not and should not be trusted. Some training hours goes as follows: Firearm skills-60 hours, Self-Defense- 51 hours, Juveniles-8 hours, Ethics and integrity-8 hours, Community policing strategies-8 hours, Meditation/Conflict Management-8 hours, Hate Crime/Bias Crime-4 hours (Source-Vox News). As you can see, police spend most of their time in training to be familiarized with guns rather than important things like Ethics and Integrity, Community policing strategies, Meditation/Conflict Management, Hate Crime/Bias Crime. 

This need to change now, police needs to be better trained so that this would not happen again. We want reform and we will get it. Please sign the petition.
