Three baby elephant girls to be sent to Moscow Circus as a gift from Myanmar to Russia. 

What terribly sad news! How can Myanmar ethically send these young precious lives as a gift to a foreign land, to play out their lives in a circus show! They are only 4 years old - 3 little girls separated from their mothers and nannies, with whom they would naturally spend their entire lives.

It is difficult to understand what blessing there could be in sending an animal as a friendship gift, being sent to countries where the weather and landscape are alien, where the language and diet unfamiliar. The only thing in common is to be raised in an environment rife with fear, alienation and abuse.

The question is rightly raised as to how this can happen ? Who allows this if it not without the sanction of governing bodies as CITES ? As we voice for animals, we are not keen on the specter of more detractors. But I speak truly, that the organizations meant to serve and protect the lives of those threatened by human activity, yet shake hands with those who will inflict harm on them, these sentient beings with a deep loving lifetime bond to family and the highly developed social structure of the herd. The intrusion into their lives is tragic, and stealing them away from their home and families contemptible. If they are endangered, they are so whether wild or captive. If they need be protected, then protect them as their wild cousins, not to be an amusement for lesser lives.

How can this happen ? There are authorities who need to hear this question. Three baby elephants to be sent to a Moscow circus. Can this be right ? Dear friends of animals, you can seek an answer yourselves. The creatures of the earth are yours to protect ! Let our voices be herd !

Бурма и Россия: 70 лет дипломатических отношений между двумя странами. Прекрасная Бурма, но как же так происходит, что Бурма дарит трёх слонят в цирк Дурова в знак хороших отношений с Россией?! Трёх маленьких слонят добровольно отбирают у их матерей, вырывают из теплого климата и отсылают на пожизненную каторгу в цирк! Зная, что популяция слонов уменьшается день за днём по всему мира, почему бы не поддержать этих умнейших и исчезающих животных, подарив им свободу? Неужели, приводя детей в цирк, мы хотим учить их тому, что любое животное должно быть подчиненно человеку и страданиям, жестоким тренировкам и пыткам? Нет, мы должны понять и научиться уважать животных, предоставить им свободу и уважение. Не цирк и не зоопарк для животных, а леса, поля, океаны и свобода - всё то, что мы так от них отбираем.

Так давайте же научимся уважать природу и животных! Не допустите, чтобы слонята были отправлены в Москву в цирк, откажитесь от этой идеи! Многие люди поддерживают эту петицию, надеемся, что вы поддержете её тоже.
