Government of Tamil Nadu, India: Clean up Adyar and Cooum rivers and restore its Glory

The Issue

Adyar and Cooum rivers (Chennai, India) were once the symbol of our glory and the backbone of our waterways, but now they have been turned into a symbol of disgrace with exceeding amount of untreated toxic sewage and human waste gets stagnated in river and causing mosquito menace, which leads to spread of vector borne diseases. Clearly, our Lack of vision and Improper Governance have led to the dramatic downfall of these two iconic rivers that once gave our city its flavour. Not all is lost yet, United together, we can still bring a change.

We can make our government clean the rivers.

We can reclaim our glory.

We can redefine Chennai.

We can be the change we want to see.

This can be done only with our united efforts and support.

Over 700 untreated sewage outlets are identified by the govt itself, but no action is taken

Recently, a complaint has been filed in the concerned departments to take necessary action to clean up our rivers. But our lonely voice is not enough, With all our voices, we can intensify our demand and pressurize our government to act soon.

A few minute spent in singing the petition would help in reclaiming our glory. Kindly spend a minute and sign the petition.

Don't forget to share it in your friends circle.

Lets us be heard louder!
