Dr Maria Saeed, 40 year old, a mother of two children and a qualified FCPS Paediatric Consultant was doing her second fellowship in Paediatric Haematology & Oncology from Children Hospital Lahore.

She had allegedly been a victim of domestic violence and emotional abuse by her husband and her in laws for many years. It is said that currently she was having disputes with her husband and her in laws over ownership of her house and her husband's second marriage.

Her dead body was found hanging in her room on 28th September 2021 and was witnessed by her brother. Her autopsy report revealed that she was strangulated and there were multiple spots of physical torture all-over her body.

An FIR has been launched against her husband by Punjab Police in which her husband has been accused of her brutal murder.

We, the people of Pakistan, doctors and pediatric oncologists demand justice for Dr Maria Saeed. 

We will be thankful to you for your cooperation. However, if justice is delayed or denied, we have every right as free citizens of this country to launch a protest against our government and judiciary system.
