On my call:

OFAH is diligently posting safety tips for everyone on their website.

So far they also do want to keep Hunting and Fishing OPEN.

If we can all try to do our best by following strict adherence to the 2 metre social distancing rules and other important recommendations etc. we will all benefit and may be able to keep Hunting and Fishing open.

One of the biggest concerns is the impact on small communities who are not equipped with the influx of people and whom have limited resources already.

It is extremely important as Hunters and Anglers to do our due diligence in putting zero pressure.

If anyone breaks any of the rules you will force them to shut it all down.

So it’s very important that we all follow the rules please.

If you want to read some of the safety tips please click on the link here:  https://www.ofah.org/safetytips/

I did make a suggestion to OFAH that a committee should be organized with all appropriate stakeholders including the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, the Minister of Transportation (which covers marinas, boat launches etc.) and any department involved with Hunting and Fishing to come up with a viable plan, instructions etc. that we can all follow to avoid a complete shutdown. Given that we already have to abide by strict regulations; I'm sure a few extra safety rules won't be hard for us to follow.

Thank you.

P.S. It is probably a good idea to avoid posting group hunting or group fishing pictures online as there are many who may want to work against us and see us shut down.

We are all willing to follow the 2 metre social distancing rules etc.

Note: I am not an official spokesperson for Hunting and Fishing however I am passionate about keeping these open during the Covid19 Pandemic and this is why I created this petition for you.

I am doing what I can so please keep signing the petition and please keep sharing it.
