Stop illegal trade of elephants

The Issue

Captive elephants in Nepal are brought from India and they are the backbone of tourism in Chitwan. Recently due to decline in tourism in Chitwan, the cost of keeping an elephant has been higher. Due to this reason, elephants are being sold back to India. The treatment they receive in India is far worse than Nepal and this trade is illegal as well.

There were 37 elephants in Chitwan till now but only last week two captive elephants were sold. About 10 are in the process of being sold. The government and concerned agencies aren't doing anything to stop this. Let's direct the attention of Government and concerned agencies towards this.

Let's say no to elephant riding and stop illegal trade of elephants.

The current captive elephants can be retired into sanctuary model which will be beneficial to all. Let's take a stand for elephants.
