Right to vote for all Mauritian Citizens living abroad.

Right to vote for all Mauritian Citizens living abroad.
Why this petition matters
On this day of general elections in Mauritius, please join me and friends to start a petition for all Mauritian Citizens living abroad to have the right vote.
Voting rights are an important part of our democracy, protected by the Human Rights Act.
All citizens of Mauritius with one of the following:
1. Valid Photo Identity Card
2. Valid Mauritian Passport
3. birth certificate and lived in Mauritius for a considerable number of years, and
4. other forms of ID, should be allowed to vote at their respective Embassy, Consulate or representative in a particular country they live in or by post.
Mauritian citizens should be able to register themselves with the electoral commission and vote by post if they cannot travel to their respective embassy or consulate.
I call upon the newly formed Government of Mauritius to make the legislative changes necessary to give Mauritian citizens living abroad the right to vote as per the Human Rights Act.
Thank you.
