Re-close Manitoba Schools

Re-close Manitoba Schools
The Issue
Its time to protect our children, for 3 days in a row Manitoba has recorded new daily high records of COVID-19, The test positivity rate is climbing substantially and we are currently in a much worse position than we were when they decided to close schools during the last fiscal school year.
Many of these new cases are occuring within Manitoba Schools, and the only way to fully stop the spread of COVID-19 through schools is to officially shut them down until the province is able to get this pandemic under control again.
When the province decided to reopen schools for September we were in a much better position, going multiple days and even weeks without any new cases, but it has become quite clear since then that we are not ready to be going back to normal as cases continue to rise at unprecedented levels across the province, we had just over 400 confirmed cases at the beginning of August we now have over 3000 confirmed cases a mere 2 months later, Deaths have gone from 7 at the start of August to 38 on October 15th.
The province made the decision to close schools when we had a mere 17 cases in Manitoba, but now they continue to keep them open when we have over 3000? How does that sound right to anybody? Its time to stop putting our kids at risk, close schools until we get this pandemic under control.
