Please, bring Elisaveta back home!
The Issue
(This petition is in the process of being deleted since the critical matter has already been resolved by the Government of Malta)
On Monday, the 9th of April, Elisaveta Avdalá, 37 years-old, a native of Bulgaria with Spanish citizenship and Koen de Vrieze, 62 years-old, from Belgium, were tragically killed in Malta when a double-decker tourist bus hit a low-hanging tree branch. Another six tourists were critically injured and some of them remain under hospitalization. This horrific incident came as a terrible shock for all of us that knew her.
Elisaveta, Eli as we called her, was all smiles and positive energy. She was an entrepreneur, life coach and English teacher in Barcelona, where she had been living for the past 17 years. She was young, full of life, and enriched the lives of everyone she touched.
Eli’s wish was to be cremated. Unfortunately, cremations are not allowed in Malta which means her repatriation is mandatory. At this point, the family simply cannot afford the cost of such a service. Sadly, the CitySightseeing Malta Bus Company has offered any help or assistance the families of those deadly affected.
Eli’s family and friends have been blessed with an enormous amount of support and love from relatives and friends. Now, we please ask you to support this petition to ask the CitySightseeing Malta Bus Company to cover the cost of Elisaveta’s repatriation from Malta to Barcelona.
Thank you!
