End the discriminatory practices in Malaysia

The issue

Malaysia is a democratic country.  In a democracy you'd expect equal treatment before the law.  However, citizens of Malay descent get extra benefits and privileges.  At the same time, citizens who do not have Malay blood are not accorded the same treatment.  Can you imagine, people who have been in the country since birth are considered second rate just because of their different DNA? Whilst it's true that some people do need a helping hand every now and then, this policy has also created deep racial divisions for decades.  People are forced to emigrate to other countries where they are recognised for the effort they put in and not for their ancestry.

This should not be happening in the 21st century but it still is.  Many people come to Malaysia for a holiday or work purposes and are surprised to hear that this sort of class system still exists in Malaysia.  Malaysia can actually prosper, but this policy - among other things - is holding the country back.  Singapore had the right idea when they broke away from Malaysia 50-odd years ago.  Many people laughed at them but look where they now: Miles ahead of Malaysia!

No more listening to politicians trying to sugarcoat the issue!  I don't care if I'm not allowed to enter Malaysia anymore, to me that is not important.  There are also many citizens of Malay descent who are sick of this discriminatory policy. It's time to do away with this policy and bring back equality in this democratic country!
