Update On Advocacy for UTech, Ja - Still NEED Your Support Today!

Dear Friends,
We hope that the experience of the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-current), and other disruptions to our lives globally, have not been too traumatic or unbearable for you and your families.
Thank you for standing with us at UTech, Jamaica in 2019 when over 18K of us to date, united to petition our Government for an adequate increase in its subvention, to assist with our operational costs.
It is now 3+ yrs later. Believe it or not...we are almost at 2023, and our national university is worst off financially. We have a fiscal deficit of over Ja$1.4 billion.
In addition, we have no President for 3 Academic Years and lately, no Council, which is our highest governing body.
See why we still need your help?
Since October 2022, out of grave concern for our future, I began advocating for UTech, Jamaica again to get the public to pay attention to our issues and to pressure the Government of Jamaica (GOJ) to prioritize the resolution of our Governance issues. I wrote the post Standing Up for UTech Jamaica Part II and I invited UTech, Knights and all persons with goodwill towards UTech, Jamaica to unite in prayer.
GOOD GOOD NEWS!
Today, an academic colleague and alumnus of UTech, Jamaica-- Meredith Williams has chosen to stand up for UTech, Jamaica too. He ha has launched a petition. He needs 15,000 signatures in 30 days to meet our Government's criteria for consideration.
