Dear Friends

I pray that you and your family are doing well and that no harm will come to you all, and especially in the context of this COVID-19 Pandemic.

March 9th 2020, marked one year since the 18,455 of us united in support of the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica) our national university, and signed this petition to our Government “Increase the Subvention to the  University of Technology, Jamaica, Commensurate with Need”

I write to say again,  “Thank You” and for your continued support of UTech, Jamaica.

Now that COVID-19 was officially reported in Jamaica on March 10th, 2020, our University, like our nation faces new challenges and priorities.

Currently our Academic and Administrative Leaders are working to ensure that our students complete AY 2019/2020, well. In addition, they are making preparations for the new ways we must experience instructional delivery and the work-space in the upcoming AY 2020/21.

Do continue to stand with us and wish us well in this new climate of ongoing threat to well-being and uncertainty.
