UTech Jamaica Lecturers Strike Again - Delay in Retro Payments Promised for October 2019

Hi Friends,
A safe and satisfying weekend is wished for you and your loved ones.
Guess what? More strike action at UTech, Jamaica.
Why? Despite *apparent subvention allotment by the Government of Jamaica to UTech, Jamaica, per previous news media updates and also reported in our petition updates here, the lecturers did not receive their promised retroactive payment promised for October 2019.
This would have been the 2nd installment of 3 retroactive payment installments overdue to the academic staff, and which are relevant to the period 2015/16 - 2018/2019.
You may recall that the desire for justice in receiving the retroactive payments, ranked among the many challenging institutional issues which sparked student and staff strike action, from February 2019 to current Re: Inadequate Subvention from our Government of Jamaica.
Thanks for your support of our national University, the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica).
We crave your continued vigilance and monitoring of how our government treats this 60+ year old institution.
