Hi Friends,

Wishing you and your family a satisfying Sunday afternoon. It is Day 10 since we submitted our Petition: Government of Jamaica Increase the Subvention to the University of Technology, Jamaica, Commensurate with Need to our government.

I have not seen an acknowledgement. We continue to wait.

The good news is that it is also Day 36 since we began uniting for #moresubvention4utechja on March 9th, 2019. Thanks to you our petition continues to grow, and over 16,200 persons have now joined us in Standing Up for UTech, Jamaica.

Please do continue to *SHARE* our petition...even once per day to your online communities and encourage persons to sign & share too! Let's Get to 20,000 while we continue wait on our Government to act justly towards our national university.

The other very good news is that other persons have taken the initiative to Stand Up for UTech Jamaica. Martin Henry, renowned political commentator and also an employee of UTech, Jamaica, has highlighted our petition in today's Sunday Gleaner. He framed it in the context of the rights and responsibilities of citizens, as well as the injustice our national university is experiencing courtesy of our Government of Jamaica.

Do click the link below to read Martin Henry's article. And please, please, copy the link to the article and share it widely to your online community.

That small act of sharing by each of us, helps to continue to bring attention to the urgent need for an appropriate response from our Government to the funding challenges of our national university, the University of Technology, Jamaica. See below for the link for the article.
