IITs and IIMs are coming out against the CAA, but we haven't heard from St. Xavier's College yet. Though current students may not have organized anything as of now, it is time for Xavierites to stand against the Citizenship Amendment Act, and with student protesters from all over the country.

Let us not leave this day unmarked by Xavierites all over the world. Our education has taught us to see this for what it is, to see the ugly intentions behind the CAA. We know that if we do not fight back now, unscrupulous leaders will use the CAA and NRC as a way to change the very fabric of our country.

Let us join our voice to the voices of all those who are now standing against fascism.

We demand a full repeal of the CAA. We demand a cancellation of nationwide NRC. We demand that the Home Minister take responsibility for his actions and resign. We demand that the government stop playing these divisive games.
