We have all seen unprecedented levels of pollution in Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana which is clogging everyone's chests and causing irreversible damage to people's health. 

Moreover, it has lately led to many accidental deaths, loss of productive hours, absents in schools. It would be not false to say it has become a calamity affecting everyone's daily lives. 

In interest of saving our own health and future generations' health, we want to urge Government of India, Punjab government, Delhi government, Haryana government to collectively take cognizance of the fact that STUBBLE BURNING, identified as one of the main causes of dangerously high levels of pollution- needs to stop. 

Effective solutions to address farmer concerns are need of hour.

In the past few years, the problem of air pollution has worsened in NCR. Pollution from factories, vehicles and stubble burning bring the AQI to hazardous level in Delhi making life difficult. We need to enforce strict laws to ensure the problems abates. Odd-Even can be made permanent, Link number of cars in a household to number of people and put some threshold, regular cleaning of roads to avoid dust, find out better ways to utilise stubble to avoid it's burning such as using them in biogas plants etc. We need strict laws and planning to control this problem.
