I am a resident of Allahabad and this season is a season of marriages. In every season of marriages, the noise pollution and air pollution become alarmingly high in Indian cities.

Daily at night when i go to bed, i find myself totally disturbed by the noise of crackers and it becomes hard for me to sleep in such conditions. These carckers produce not only unbearable noise pollution but also they vitiate the air quality of surrounding environment. Even at this time when i am writing this petition crackers are being burnt relentlessly.

Recently Global Air Report 2017 has assigned India the status of the nation with poorest air quality. Every year 11 lakh people die due to air pollution in India. This figure is the highest in the world.

Please unite together in this fight for creating our environment clean and sustainable. Let us urge together to our government to put blanket ban on cracker burning exercises at marriages and parties.
