Host the Capture Guyana 2016 Exhibition

Host the Capture Guyana 2016 Exhibition
The Issue
Letters were sent out on April 15th to those who had submitted printed photographs for the Capture Guyana 2016 Exhibition announcing the cancellation of the Exhibition. This cancellation was done even though the point person stated that:
"we received 76 photographs which ranged from traditional landscapes and portraits to impactful images confronting social and economic situations faced by this country. But, it is with great regret that I must inform you that Capture Guyana 2016 is essentially cancelled. I was truly happy with the quality of work submitted by photographers known to the community and by those who were new to it."
It is not a massive undertaking, the Government of Guyana and the Ministry of Education (Culture, Youth and Sport) along with the Ministry of Tourism should support this exhibition which was to be the first Curated Photography Exhibition in Guyana.
This Exhibition should be hosted, even if for a short period, especially in this our Jubilee Celebratory Year!
