So in 1957 an estimated 1.1 to 2 million people, including 116000 in the US died in the world due to asian flu. 1968 - another epidemic. 2003, 2012 sars, mers - were proven to come from animals. Now the whole worlds economy shuts down and tens of thousands people outside China dying due to this new "gift" of coronavirus.  China is reluctant to change its cultural eating habits and it is posing a threat to you and me in the future. Unless it hits their government pockets, nothing will change and we will see neighbors, relatives coworkers get sick from what could have been prevented. We may choose not to buy food made in China ourselves but it's not enough - mainland china needs to get the message. Embargo chinese food products would put necessary pressure on chinese farming industry and hopefully force government to permanently close growse wildlife markets. 

No matter how old we are now - you will be 60, 70 and 80 one day and very vulnerable to any virus as your immune system would not be able to fight big battles anymore. Wanna see you grandkids? Sign this petition!
