Canada has lost a true icon. Gord Downie was more than just a singer, he was the voice of a nation. His voice is that of an entire people, driving us to move forward and be better than we were the day before. 

That is the type of person that needs to be remembered and honored. 

It would be a fitting tribute to immortalize this legend on the five dollar bill
