Centrifugal Force knives such as balisongs, (aka butterfly knives) have no real reason to be illegal. The only reason people think of them as criminals weapons is due to TV and Movies. They are no more effective than legal spring assisted knives, and might even be less effective. People hurting themselves while flipping them around senselessly is no real reason to ban them. You can hurt yourself on any knives just as easily. In fact, people can hurt themselves on anything if they don't know what they're doing, such as power tools. Furthermore, they are great for knife collectors and its very frustrating to see nice balisongs that we can't have due to an old, and in my opinion senseless, law.
