There are thousands of parents who are baffled and infuriated with the lack of stricter protection measures for the K-3 students who are neither immunized nor mandated to wear masks. We are in the depth of the 4th wave that’s impacting those most vulnerable and most precious:  our children. My 7-year old is immuno-compromised and spent last year in a special class where everyone had to wear a mask to be safe. This year, he’s only one of 5 students wearing a mask in the class of 22.  And the lack of a clear mask mandate, cohorts, and other safety measures is putting my child at a serious risk.  The cases for 0-9 have doubled in just three weeks and now account for 20% of the provincial total!

It’s simply incomprehensible why our PHO, CDC, or the Ministry of Education cannot make this simple mandate decision despite a standard set by Ontario, Quebec, the Atlantic Provinces, and the US CDC.  The parents and teachers are calling for immediate action to protect our children!
