End the Vaccine Passport Program in British Columbia

The Issue

To the Government of British Columbia, we the people ask that you follow the lead of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia in their decisions to bring an end to the Vaccine Passport Program immediately.

British Columbians have followed important scientific data and have complied with mandates and restrictions throughout the pandemic to protect ourselves, our loved ones and the people in our communities. We have done what was asked of us for two years only to have the goal post moved further and further away. With every other province in Canada releasing plans to lift ALL restrictions, British Columbians deserve to know why they are being left behind.

As per the information available on the Government of British Columbia’s website, Covid-19 has evolved and the science now shows clear evidence that vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals share an equal ability to contract and spread the Covid-19 virus. Given the evolving situation, it is not fair or logical to continue segregating unvaccinated individuals from participating in low-risk social activities as their vaccinated counterparts have an equal likelihood of contracting and transmitting Covid-19.

British Columbia is the LAST province to provide its citizens with a dated re-opening plan. We call on you to join the other 9 Canadian provinces in their decision to end Vaccine Passports Requirements and Vaccine Mandates. We ask that you release a dated re-opening plan for BC immediately.

Thank You

*To signees, in addition to signing this petition please reach out (respectfully) to Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix to express your support for ending the Vaccine Passport Requirements and Mandates in British Columbia. CC your local MLA in your e-mail.
