Allow dogs on restaurant patios in British Columbia

Sign this petition if you think restaurant owners in BC should have the choice to allow dogs on their patios. The Food Premises Regulation of the BC Public Health Act states that "an operator of food premises must not permit live animals to be on the premises". This is over regulation! Responsible dog owners should be allowed to enjoy a meal on the patio with their loyal furry companion. Wouldn't it be great to spend a day on the town without having to worry about what to do with woman and man's best friend when you need to stop for a cold brew? There are many other places in the world that allow dogs on restaurant patios and even inside restaurants such as Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Germany, California, New York, Florida, Alberta and Quebec to name a few. Please sign this petition and let's lift the stigma of dogs on patios in BC!
