We’ve hit 2000 signatures! That’s great but we need so many more. Please keep sharing and have everyone you know sign!
I have a VERY IMPORTANT ask of you and this is the thing that will truly make the difference because we are not guaranteed success with the petition alone.
Please, take a few minutes to write emails to EAProjectcomments@gov.nl.ca
AND to
Minister of Environment and Climate Change Bernard Davis at bernarddavis@gov.nl.ca.
Newfoundland and Labrador is depending on us to keep this from happening. If we say nothing, there isn’t reason enough for the government to stop the environmental process. If enough of us write emails of protest before the deadline of February 16th, the minister will take that into account and stop proceedings before it even starts.
Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are known for coming together when it counts. This cause truly counts. If this proposal happens, we will lose the central region to international waste and tourism will be lost. If that happens, it opens the door to more plants like this in other areas to the province.
Central Newfoundland needs our help.
Please, send that email.
Thank you.
