We have officially hit 1000 signatures. But it’s not enough! We have until the 14th of February to submit this petition and in order for it to make any sort of impact, we need thousands more. Please share this daily with your friends and family. Help others understand the gravity of what this could do to our environment.
This is not just a central Newfoundland problem. This is a province wide problem. Central could just be the beginning. With plans of importing 750,000 tonnes of waste including but not limited to; plastics, wood, fibre, hazardous materials, electronics and the list goes on. This is not a clean energy solution. The plans also specify a camp to house workers.. why do they need a camp to house workers if they aren’t planning to hire local? There are far too many questions with no answers.
Please also, send an email of concern to:

Minister Bernard Davis (Environment & Climate Change) at bernarddavis@gov.nl.ca

Thank you for signing and sharing.

Anne
