Happy Sunday! It’s snowing here in St. John’s and I’m so excited to get my new snowshoes out to hit the trails! Newfoundland and Labrador is best seen in nature where the trees offer so much fresh air, the ocean offers the sound of magic and the wildlife live in absolute heaven.
Imagine all of the above being torn down by pollution and waste that’s not even ours. Having it shipped in from other parts of the world to the infamous “iceberg alley” where the whales frolic and the icebergs fleetingly visit. Imagine the opera of the ocean being muffled by giant ships filled with garbage. Imagine the freshness of the air being spoiled by the smell of burning waste and chemicals. Imagine the wildlife leaving, not able to live in such spoiled wilderness because the air, the land and the sea have become too toxic.
If you’ve already signed, thank you but if you haven’t shared this petition, please do so. We need thousands of signatures and we are not getting them. We need your help to get the word out about this. Do your part. Just signing is not enough, please share!
