Dear dog friend,

Many dogs (in US, Canada, southern Euope etcetera) are tethered without daily fresh water or shade!

Please look out for any dogs confined on tethers without shade or fresh water and food. And please help them!!!

Peta is one of the only main large animal advocacy organizations who is tackling the epidemic of CHAINED/TETHERED outside dogs, including the state legislative level. 

PETA urges everyone to provide dogs with fresh water daily, let them live indoors as members of the family, and call law enforcement if they see a dog who might be in distress.

Every year, PETA’s rescue team finds dead or dying dogs, many confined to pens and/or with heavy chains around their necks. Dogs kept penned or chained outdoors often go without adequate food, water, shelter, and veterinary care and are limited to the same few square feet of space day in and day out. 

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Do you see a dog in need of help? Please help! If the owners are not willing to talk, please contact the police, animal rescue and also your local officials! This is unacceptable!  

Let’s help suffering chained dogs, especially with this hot weather!
