Dear supporters of our petition against dog tethering!

Thanks to you, we have come a long way with our petition to demand a new bylaw to forbid dog tethering in Ontario, Canada. We now have over 94.000 signatures.

The Corona virus has of course delayed our plans to offer the petition to the government in Ontario. We are now looking for the best moment and way to make optimal impact with your signatures and motivations.

Unfortunately, in the past months animal lovers in Canada have documented disgusting new examples of tethered dogs in the cold, with minimal shelter, frozen water and ignorant sometimes aggressive owners. Without a new law against tethering, animal lovers are powerless against such owners and their animal abuse. As long as dog tethering is legally allowed, dogs continue to suffer on farms, in the cruel hands of sled dog companies, or in many back yards of their ignorant owners who warm themselves by the fireplace while their dogs are cold and hungry outside. No one will will come to their rescue. This must change! 

Please help us to get to 100.000 signatures, by sharing our petition (again...) wide and far. It is time to make an impact and end the needless suffering of men’s best friend, the dog.
